Michael Gross is the Vice Chairman of WeWork. He joined the company in 2013 as CFO and is now responsible for capital raising, strategic partnerships for real estate, services and launching the company's enterprise sales offering.
Prior to joining WeWork, Michael was CEO of Morgans' Hotel Group. He was appointed to the Board of Directors of Morgans' in 2009 as a representative of Yucaipa American Alliance Fund. In 2011 he was appointed CEO where he oversaw the transition from a capital intense hotel development company to an asset light management lifestyle hospitality business with a focused brand strategy.
From 1998 to 2007, Michael focused on consumer and real estate companies with various investment in retail and research roles at Prentice Capital Management, S.A.C. Capital Advisors, Lehman Brothers Inc., Salomon Smith Barney and Granite Partners.
Michael graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.
