Alberto Milo, Jr. is a Principal and Senior Vice President of Related Urban Development Group, (RUDG), LLC; an entity formed in April of 2009 to develop and acquire affordable and workforce housing developments. Since its inception, Related Urban has successfully completed the development of over 1,300 units of affordable and public housing.
With over 25 years in the real estate industry, Mr. Milo brings diverse experience in many facets of the business, having owned and operated his own real estate development, real estate brokerage and mortgage brokerage companies. He has been a licensed Real Estate Broker since 1989.
Mr. Milo has served on the Miami-Dade County Industrial Development Authority since 2005 and previously was a member of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s Workforce Housing Committee. He has been actively involved in the development community, and served as the 2011 President of the Builders Association of South Florida. In 2009, he was named the Builder of the Year by the Builders Association of South Florida and is a past recipient of the organizations President’s Award.
Mr. Milo has been developing affordable and workforce housing since 1999. In 2002, he formed The Urban Development Group. The company’s mission initially, was to revitalize communities by creating affordable homeownership for an underserved market consisting of individuals that earn between 60% and 140% of the Miami Dade County median income. He is well versed in all of the federal, state and local subsidy programs and has developed several successful affordable housing homeownership communities totaling over 400 units.
Mr. Milo was born and raised in Miami and attended Miami Senior High School. He has always maintained strong ties to the local community.
